HEALTH ASSESSMENTS

We provide free* health assessments for those aged 45-49 years old, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and people over the age of 75 years old.

Health Assessments are performed by one of our Practice Nurses and reviewed by your Doctors. They allow us to identify any existing or potential health issues, so that you can make more informed decisions about your health.

Most health assessments take between 20-40 minutes and involve a number of questions relating to your general health, as well as a series of simple tests. These may include:

  • Vision check
  • Hearing check
  • Skin check
  • Urine sample
  • Blood pressure check
  • Review of current medications
  • Immunisation status
  • Height and weight measurements
  • A look at your diet, exercise, mobility, family and social relationships and mental health

To make an appointment for a health assessment, contact our Reception on (08) 9208 6400.

*The cost of these assessments is covered by Medicare. However, any required investigations identified by the health assessment may incur a cost. If you are not eligible to receive Medicare, then a standard consult fee will apply and will be charged based on the time the assessment takes to complete.
