Dr Tessa Young

BSc., MBBS, VGDWH, FRACGP

Dr Young hails from Cheshire in the United Kingdom and moved to Perth in 1993. She completed her Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Western Australia. Tessa also holds a Vocational Graduate Diploma of Women’s Health (VGDWH) from King Edward Memorial Hospital.

Prior to becoming a GP, Tessa worked at a number of hospitals across Western Australia including Royal Perth Hospital, King Edward Memorial Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, Osborne Park Hospital, Joondalup Hospital and Bassendean Medical Centre.

Tessa has special interests in women’s health, weight loss, paediatrics and bariatric medicine.

As a former professional dancer, Tessa enjoys anything dance-related. She is also a fitness instructor and enjoys all things fitness, particularly acrobatic yoga. Her broader interests include woodwork and metal work.

Tessa is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
