Ian grew up in Perth and completed his Bachelor of Science with honours (BSc. (Hons)) before completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle.

Ian has worked at a number of hospitals across Western Australia including Royal Perth Hospital, Armadale Hospital, Kalgoorlie Health Campus, Fiona Stanley Hospital and, most recently, the Emergency Department at Joondalup Health Campus.

He has a particular interest in emergency medicine, sports medicine, men’s health, and chronic health.

Outside of work, Ian’s interests include golf, motorsport and the Liverpool Football Club.
