Dr Katharine Merrifield qualified as a General Practitioner in the United Kingdom.

She relocated with her young family to Perth in 2023 and is a Fellow of the Royal
Australian College of General Practitioners.

Originally from South Africa, Katharine acquired her undergraduate medical degree from the University of Cape Town in 2007. Since then, she has lived and trained in the United Kingdom, initially in the speciality of Paediatrics, where she was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

She subsequently completed her General Practice postgraduate training and has worked within the UK primary care NHS setting ever since.

Katharine is passionate about all aspects of General Practice and provides holistic and evidence-based family care. She has particular experience in Children’s Health, Women’s Health, Elderly Care Medicine and Chronic Disease Management.

Outside of work, Katharine enjoys exploring and experiencing all that new life in WA has to offer, along with her husband and three children.
